The TV Personalities, after thirteen years, have suddenly took an upturn in popularity and released this single and this LP which are both bloody ace. PRIVILEGE is possibly the decades best LP so far. Actually, that isn't really a big deal cos've all the crap being released at the moment ! Anyway, it's dead ace so bloody BUY IT ! - and all the others. Even after thirteen years they can still come out with stuff that's better than anyone else is doing. What was the first thing to enter your head this morning ?
"The first thing to enter my head this morning was a curse upon the sun ! This Acid House effect wakes me up too early."

Did you really make the tables at Rough Trade ?
"Actually, I constructed the work tops at Southern Distribution to accomodate all their fucking computers. ( Wow ! An inch long centipede has just crossed this piece of paper ! ) Yeah, I'm quite the handyman y'know. I was slashing creosote around yesterday in the porch. Nice to parody normal life occasionally."

What do you think of all the music press saying they're TVPs fans when they've been ignoring you all along ?
"Actually they all *have* been TVPs fans all along. It's just that some folk don't like to admit it ! I know the feeling well ... they've only been ignoring us because *we've* been ignoring *them* !"

How many items of garden furniture do you own ?
"The only garden furniture I own is a pair of garden gnomes - no garden !"

Did you do "Respectable" by Mel & Kim ?
"We covered "Respectable" on a limited edition 7" on Caff label run by MM scribe Bob Stanley. It's sold out now so tuff titty baby !"
